Dolce&Gabbana’s participation at the China International Import Expo Shanghai 2019 emphasized the brand’s artisanal approach by having different artisans on spot. Seamstresses finished garments on site while embroiderers sewed patches on sneakers.
Painters were also present to customize the iconic Sicily bag with hand-painted flowers and decorations together with a special edition for China of the Dolce Box bag, exclusively available in the country during the Expo period. But the artisanal values were also shown for the world of Jewellery with goldsmiths showing the fine manufacturing techniques such as filigree, embossment and chisel.
